What is a Regenerative Culture?

A Regenerative Culture is healthy, resilient and adaptable; caring for the Planet and all life in the awareness that this is the most effective way to create a thriving future for all of humanity.  It consciously builds the capacity of every person and every place to respond and transform.

How would a Regenerative Culture make things better?

It encourages the belief that we need to focus on transformative, rather than incremental, change.  It acknowledges that the steps from sustainability to regeneration are more than a change in simple terminology, they include a change in mindset and worldview that will drive profound transformation. It:

  • works to regenerate capital assets, including people, places and especially the Earth’s resources;

  • unlocks the full potential of each person, organisation and community to address the challenges we face today, while creating new solutions for future generations; and

  • brings diverse voices into the change making process to bring about fairer outcomes.

We believe that there are 5 key pillars we should focus on to guide us towards creating a Regenerative Culture.
